Melinda Kelly, a colleague comic has taken it upon herself to organise a night of extraodinary talent (modesty forbids me metioning who the MC for the night will be) to raise money for the Premiers Flood Fund.
Held this Sunday January 23rd at the Burwood RSL
Thrown into a melting pot is a diverse concoction of live music from classic pub rock to folk to country (and possibly some hip hop) sure get your juices flowing!! Stir in some comic stylings from some of Sydney’s best and you’ve got a moist recipe worth drooling over.
The entertainment and the drinks will flow as we pull together to raise much needed funds for those hard up banana benders in QLD. The entry is a mere $30 a…nd $20 if you’re a student or pensioner (I’ve spent more on a cup of coffee, no not really but its pretty reasonably priced)
There will be raffles and auctions on the night if you can afford to part with more.
All entertainers are performing for free and the venue is free as well so proceeds will go directly to the Premiers flood Relief Appeal! you can get your tickets at the door or on the Burwood RSL website (once the details are up, be patient m’dears). Please encourage everyone you know to get along to this
We got at least 12 acts lined up, but notes of interest from talented people are flooding in!! (pun intended we must keep our humour even in times likes this).
Details and Linup to follow:
I really hope you can make it along and contribute to the evening and cause. Plus there is an ‘outside’ chance that George Michael may turn up (he’s being invited) In which case I may need to change the event name to ‘Wham’!
Get the train, bus, car pool, ride a flippin donkey I don’t care just get yourselves there.
Oh Whadda a night…..

Tom Ballard (left) and me (right) with Chris North (middle)newly appointed NSW Marriage Celebrant who did get carried away and marry Tom and me last night. Tom’s so excited about our nuptials, and about getting up in four hours (yes, even on our honeymoon) to host his Triple JJJ Radio morning show. Despite the enormity of the occasion our judicial responsibilies took precedence over our personal happiness last night. 150 people were in the Jury and 14 adult males and 1 adult female (plus infant) were in the comedy line-up. Some had prior comedy convictions, others, it was their first offence.
