Well it finally got here…. my first show and it was so much fun. Special thanks to all the girls from “Artist Way” that came along to support. It was at Artists Way groups a few years ago that I finally summoned up the courage to have a go at Stand-Up. What an amazing creative dynamic experience that was for me and fantastically group members have made radical and exciting changes in their lives. Special tribute, love and thanks to Suzanne, Manny Rose, Deb, Ann F, Laura for initiating our wonderful Sunday afternoons of creative exploration and continuing to accompany me on this ever evolving journey.

I would never have thought some months ago that I would be preparing for my first show for the Adelaide Fringe. It’s crazy and exciting. At the behest of my dear friend Amelia Jane Hunter who was frankly just sick of me harping on about getting a part in one of her shows, I took the plunge and here we are.
With just 56 days to go to my first show I’m in countdown mode. Not the Molly Meldrum sort but the “what was I thinking” mode. I’m looking forward to all the new “stretches” something like this provides (at last a new weight loss technique), but I am very excited about the decision to put myself in the hands of an experienced powerhouse of a Director, Rebecca De Unamuno.
I’ve really enjoyed the writing for the show and its been an extraordinary opportunity to delve back into some of the well worn stories I have often re-told to long suffering friends and somewhat cruelly, family and work colleagues.
Also looking forward to catching up with some good friends in Adelaide, the last time I was there was 30 years ago. I think its safe to go back there now.
